People of the Great War

The short film – People of the Great War – is a brand new, innovative and thought-provoking film, designed to be used in school assemblies and in the classroom. It is a starting point for exploring the experience and impact of the War, and the ongoing importance of remembrance.

Using original sources from the collections of the Imperial War Museum and Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the film focuses on what it was like for the WW1 generation of men and women to live through a war of unprecedented scale and its aftermath.
